The CDP®, CMDCP®, and CMDCPT™ are global certifications recommended for those working in the health care industry and with the geriatric population. These certifications are a compliment to your chosen profession. The CDP®, CMDCP® or CMDCPT™ are not a profession, but rather a level of additional Dementia training and Dementia certification that you have received in the area of Dementia care that will enable the health care professional to provide compassionate care.

The CDP®, and CMDCP®, and CMDCPT™ certifications are a commitment by the professional to end elder abuse and neglect through continuous training in the area of Dementia Care. Worldwide there lacks standardization in the requirements of Dementia education for front line staff and health care professionals, elder care attorneys, educators, geriatric managers who work in learning institutions, psychiatric facilities, rehabilitation centers, associations, government agencies, nursing homes, assisted living, senior communities, mobile companies, memory care centers, associations, government agencies, adult day care, hospitals, home care and hospice agencies and 55 plus communities.

ICCDP offers 3 courses and certifications.

CDP Certified Dementia Practitioner certification is open to international customers only

United States professionals would apply for the CDP certification at www.nccdp.org

Corporate Groups: Applying for the CDP Certification.

Option 1: ICCDP offers a corporate group (10 or more) rate for the CD application and the 7-hour online ADDC Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care seminar

You would first go to www.iccdp.net and select CDP and set up a corporate group account. Enter your contact information and each members full name and email address. Save and proceed to payment. Pay.

Each employee will receive an email to complete their online CDP application within 7 days. The email will include the application link, login and password. After 7 days the automated system will delete the employee’s account. Once the employee’s application is approved, the employee will receive an email to complete the online 7 -hour course. The email will include the course link. The employee will have 30 days to complete the 7 hour online course and evaluation. After 30 days their account is deleted. The employee may start and stop and start the course at any time. Upon completion of the 7 -hour online course and online evaluation, the employee’s CDP certification is emailed to the corporate group administrator and to the employee.

ICCDP membership service staff will notify you of anyone who has not completed the process. It will be your responsibility to investigate any email address that is bouncing. Please whitelist [email protected] and [email protected] to insure that ICCDP notifications are received.

Mobile devices do not work. A computer is recommended. and we recommend Google Chrome or Internet Explorer Edge browsers.

The ADDC course is presented in English. International Customers only. A digital student handout notebooks is included.

Once payment has been made, there are not refunds. You can delete a name, you can add a name but there are no substitutions.

The Corporate group rate is $70.00 pp. USD.

Option 2: ICCDP offers a corporate group (10 or more) rate for the CDP Certified Dementia Practitioner application only.

First register directly with a CADDCT trainer for a live ADDC seminar. See the calendar for a list of seminars. Or you can contact a CADDCT trainer directly to provide a private ADDC 8-hour live seminar for your group. The CADDCT trainers do not work for ICCDP and set their own rates for the ADDC 8-hour live seminar. The digital student handout notebook is available in English or Spanish.

After completing the ADDC seminar, the corporate group administrator will go to www.iccdp.net and select CDP and set up a corporate group account. Select the GRANDFATHER OPTION. This will allow your group to bypass the online ADDC seminar. Enter your contact information and each employee name and email address. Proceed to payment. Submit payment.

Each employee will receive an email to log in to ICCDP.net within 7 days and complete their application. The email will include a link, login and password. After 7 days their account is deleted. Each employee will be asked to upload the ADDC class certificate provided to your group by the CADDCT trainer.

The CDP application is open to International customers only. Professionals residing in the USA will see NCCDP www.nccdp.org.

Statistics prove that nearly 50% of the residents of long-term care facilities have been diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease. This number will continue to grow. The only way to provide successful dementia care is to understand the disease process and the significance behind the dementia-related behaviors.

ADDC Course Goals and Objectives:

ADDC Course Goals are:

  • To provide fundamental education on dementia and dementia care
  • To enhance the quality of life of dementia patients through education care providers
  • Foster sensitivity and respect for the dementia client
  • To teach communication techniques
  • To provide sensitive approaches for assisting patients with activities of daily living.

Participants will:

  • Have an understanding of dementia
  • Identify common causes of aggressive, repetitive, and sundowning behaviors in adults
  • Describe behavioral/care interventions that may be used to prevent or reduce difficult care situations.
  • Describe challenges related to caregiver stress and utilize stress reduction techniques
  • Learn alternative activity interventions that are success-oriented and failure-free
  • Receive a certificate of attendance in the seminar.

CMDCP Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional

Requires completing the MDCP Montessori Dementia Care Professional 7 - hour Course either online, or live and in person. The MDCP course is but one of the requirements.

Who Should Attend? All who work in the health care industry that serves the elderly. This certification and course is open to those professionals living in the United States of America and professionals living in other countries where the USA has a trade agreement and whom those countries are not adversaries.

1 Year full time experience in a health care field that serves the elderly.

Certified or licensed in a heath care profession. If your state regulations or your countries laws do not require a license or certification to hold your position this requirement is waived.

Option 1: Complete the online CMDCP application and complete the 7 -hour online MDCP course. The fee includes both the CMDCP application and the course. See www.iccdp.net and select CMDCP and complete the application process. Once your application is reviewed and if the application is in order, your course link will be sent to you. You have 30 days to complete the online course. After 30 days your account is deleted. Once you complete the online course, tests and evaluation, your CMDCP certification is emailed to you.

260.00 USD Regular Rate.

$70.00 USD Association member rate. See www.iccdp.net and CMDCP and association list. You will be asked to upload your membership letter. If your association is not listed, have the Executive Director contact [email protected] to register the association.

$145.00 Grandfather option. For those who have completed a Montessori specific to Dementia presented by a national or international university or organization. You will be asked to upload your course certificate or certification.

Option 2: First register for the MDCP live 8-hour course with CMDCPT trainer. The dates are posted on the calendar. The CMDCPT trainers do not work for ICCDP and they set their own rates. After the MDCP seminar, you will return to ICCDP web site within 30 days of completion and complete the CMDCP application. You will select the GRANDFATHER option. You will be asked to upload your MDCP course certificate. Your application will be reviewed and if in order, your CMDCP certification will be emailed to you.

Fee: Application only. $145.00 USD CMDCP APPLICATION ONLY GRANDFATHER OPTION.

Renewal is every two years. You will need 4 contact hours provided by ICCDP. The link is provided to you once you complete the online CMDCP renewal application. A renewal notice will be emailed to you within 60 days of your certification expiration date.

Renewal Fee: $260.00 USD

Association members: $70.00 USD

Corporate Group Rate for the CMDCP Certification.

Open to USA professionals and international professionals.

Option 1: Create An online corporate group (10 or more) who will be completing the 7 -hour online course and CMDCP application. See www.iccdp.net and select CMDCP and corporate group.

Enter your contact information and you will be the Corporate Group Administrator.

Enter each employee’s name and email address. Submit payment. Each employee will have 7 days to complete the online application. After 7 days their account is deleted.

Once the application is reviewed and if in order, the course link is emailed to the employee. They will have 30 days to complete the course. They can start and stop. After 30 days their account is deleted. You can add to the list, you can delete from the list but you can not substitute names. Once you pay the fee there are no refunds.

After the course, tests and evaluation is completed the CMDCP certification is emailed to the employee and to the corporate group administrator.

Fee is $70.00 pp USD.

Renewal Fee is $70.00 USD every two years. Your employees will need 4 hours which are provided by ICCDP and included in the renewal fee. You will be sent a notice of the employees who are due for renewal.

Option 2: Hire a CMDCPT trainer to provide the MDCP Montessori Dementia Care Professional 7-hour live course. See the CMDCPT Registry.

After the course, set up an online corporate group (10 or more) account.

Or consider sending your instructor to the CADDCT and the CMDCPT class who can provide MDCP training to all staff.

After your live training, create an online corporate group (10 or more) who will be completing the CMDCP application ONLY. See www.iccdp.net and select CMDCP and corporate group.

Enter your contact information and you will be the Corporate Group Administrator.

Enter each employee’s name and email address and select GRANDFATHER. Submit payment.

Each employee will have 7 days to complete the online application. After 7 days their account is deleted. The employee will upload their MDCP course certificate. If all in order the CMDCP certification will be emailed to the employee and the corporate group administrator.

Rate: $35.00 pp Application ONLY and Select Grandfather Option.

Renewal is $70 pp every two years. Your employees will need 4 hours which are provided by ICCDP and included in the renewal fee. You will be sent a notice of the employees who are due for renewal. The grandfather option is not available for the renewal application.

Certified Dementia Practitioner and requires completing the ADDC Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care Seminar. The ADDC seminar is but one of the core requirements. You have two options for registering for the ADDC seminar and applying online for the CDP certification. The ADDC seminar is approved for 7 CEUs for Administrators, Social Workers, Nurses and Activity Professionals by USA credentialing bodies. The ADDC seminar is presented in English. Option 2: Take the ADDC 8-hour seminar live. Register for the ADDC directly with an approved CADDCT trainer. See the calendar to find a CADDCT trainer who is offering the ADDC seminar live via a ZOOM type platform. After the live ADDC seminar, you will return to ICCDP.net and apply online for the CDP certification and select Grandfather option within the application.

The CADDCT Trainers do not work for ICCDP and set their own rates for the ADDC seminar. A digital student handout notebook is provided and available in English or Spanish.

CEU approved for Nurses for 7 CEUs by USA credentialing bodies for an additional fee of $28.00 USD. You will be provided information in class regarding the Nurse CEUs. You will need to check with your CADDCT trainer if the ADDC seminar is CEU approved with your credentialing body.

CMDCPT Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional Trainer.

OPEN TO USA AND INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONALS.

Who should attend? Educators and professionals who provide training to health care professionals that serve the elderly.

Requirements: Complete the online application, complete the 12 -hour one day live CMDCPT course, which is one of the core requirements. As a prerequisite, you will need the CADDCT Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care Trainer course and CADDCT certification. The CADDCT certification must be in good standing. The CADDCT course and certification is offered by the NCCDP division. For information about CADDCT see www.nccdp.org and select certification and CADDCT.

If you have the CADDCT certification and are now applying for the CMDCPT certification, please check first, for a CMDCPT seminar date on the calendar.

Then register online by completing the CMDCPT application. The fee includes the course, certifications as CMDCP and CMDCPT and your training materials.
